Clinical Hypnosis

What is Clinical Hypnosis?

Clinical hypnosis is a guided hypnosis utilizing trance states of focus and concentration performed by a certified clinical hypnotherapist. This intense concentration and focus helps you turn your attention inward to find the natural resources that already are present internally to help promote life changes or regain control in certain areas of your life.  As you are focused in a heightened state of awareness or trance, you temporarily block out or ignore things going on around you.

How is Hypnosis Performed?

Hypnotherapy is performed in a calm, therapeutic environment in which the hypnotherapist will guide you into a relaxed trance state and ask you to think about situations and experiences in positive ways to promote thought and behavior changes.

A common fear or misconception about hypnosis is a concern about losing control or being unconscious throughout the experience. On the contrary, hypnosis allows for increased control in which you will hear the suggestions provided by the hypnotherapist but it is up to you to decide whether or not you will act on them. You cannot do or say anything while in a trance state that is not in your own control.
